The Central Government has approved for administering the booster dose vaccine for the citizens.
It has been announced that this booster dose administration is set to commence for the staff and personnel in the field front, citizens above 60 years of age, and citizens affected by viral diseases from 10th January.
Meanwhile, the central government’s Vaccination Technology Committee has been reviewing the time gap for administering the Booster dose or the preventive dose.
Presently, Covaccine and Covishield vaccines are administered for the citizens in India. Discussions are underway with the expert groups regarding the time gap to be allowed for the citizens already administered 2 doses of corona vaccines.
It is learnt that a minimum time gap of 9 months to 12 months is mandatory to administer the booster dose for the citizens who had ALREADY BEEN ADMINISTERED WITH THE DOUBLE DOSE OF VACCINATIONS!
