The rapid spread of Coronavirus in Tamil Nadu has led to the closure of schools and colleges and students began learning through online mediums. Later, the Covid-19 infection was brought under control due to huge efforts taken by the government plus by vaccination etc. The schools and colleges have reopened for the students in Tamil Nadu and direct classes have been going on.
In recent times, the Omicron variant has been creating lots of issues for the people across the world. This Omicron variant has spread to all parts of India now and people are in huge fear now regarding this new variant. Now, the school students are enjoying their half yearly holidays till 2nd January.
It was earlier said that the schools would reopen from 3rd January onwards and would function without any rotation. In the latest release from the government it was mentioned that classes for nursery and primary class students would not be there. For those students from classes 1 to 8, there would not be direct physical classes at their schools till 10th January. It is now clear that based on the guidelines from the government colleges and direct physical classes would be conducted for the students belonging to the classes 9 to 12.
