The revision test for the students studying in classes 10 and 12 was postponed earlier due to the rise in the number of Coronavirus cases in TN is well known. Yesterday, the revision test took place for these students and it was successful with more than 90% students appearing for the revision tests.  The class 12 students appeared for the language revision test yesterday and for that nearly 16lakhs students of both these classes have registered.

It must be noted that from 9th to 15th February 2022 revision tests for class 10 students would take place. Common revision tests for the class 12 students belonging to science, commerce and vocational streams would be held from 9th to 15th of February is known.

The question papers would be distributed to the schools every morning depending on the subject. It is learnt that the revision tests would be held on par with the board examinations. This was according to a senior officer belonging to the school education department. To curb irregularities, the answer sheets of the students who have written the revision tests would be evaluated commonly. Information is that the second revision test for these students would take place from 28th March to 5th April 2022. Before the second revision test, the timetable for the board examinations would be announced.

The TN government would be conducting the board exams for class 10 and class12 students either in April or in May month and that would depend on the Coronavirus pandemic situation. Point to be noted is that the question paper pattern for the board exams would be similar to the question paper pattern of the revision tests. The question papers for the board exam would be prepared based on the reduced syllabus.

The senior official concluded that the management of the schools were already asked to collect the data of various students who would be appearing for the board examinations.

It is worthy to mention that almost all the schools have uploaded the student’s information on the EMIS or Educational Management Information System, an online platform that would connect all the schools, students and teachers etc.
