The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic touched a peak last December (2021). As such, the State Government of Tamil Nadu undertook a lot of initiatives to check and prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
As a part of these preventive actions, schools were closed for the students from the 1st Standard to the 12th Standard.
Subsequently, there was a perceptible reduction in the extent/impact of the coronavirus spread and the schools were reopened for the students of classes from 1st to the 12th Standards and direct classes are being conducted.
Meanwhile, the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been releasing various announcements considering the academic skill of the students.
In this situation, the Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for School Education, Anbil Magesh, has announced that the schools will continue functioning until 13th May for the students of classes from the 1st Standard to the 5th Standard!
