Anna University announces Syllabus for engineering courses revised to meet the requirements of Industries!

Professors of Anna University have announced that the syllabus for the engineering courses will be revised after a gap of 25 years!

Earlier, a decision had been taken to revise the syllabus in all the engineering colleges functioning/under the affiliation of Anna University.

In a plan to revise the syllabus to meet the requirements of the industries, International latest technology, Job Opportunities, Skill Development, the study of the syllabus adopted by various reputed Universities will all be analysed in depth to form the revised syllabus.

A 90-member council has been formed with Professors of various departments, representatives from leading industries, Indian Government Officials, and University Alumni (old students of the University).

The Professors informed me that the syllabus is being revised after a gap of 25 tears!

Meanwhile, the University Council has also decided to make direct visits to the engineering colleges to inspect the standards to extend the approval granted to these engineering colleges.

The aspects to be checked during the inspection visit to the different engineering colleges would include:

  • Whether there is 1 professor for every 20 students?
  • Whether the infrastructure is available?

apart from other aspects and then the council will decide whether to extend the approval granted to these colleges.

Deadline extension up to the end of March has been given to the engineering colleges to apply for the extension of approval by Anna University.
