The Coronavirus pandemic has been brought under control now and normalcy has resumed once again in the state of Tamil Nadu is a well known fact.
It is now said that if the BA-2 variant of Coronavirus infection increases then there are chances of total lockdown once again in Tamil Nadu. In January 2022, the third Coronavirus infection wave reached its peak and due to this Coronavirus restriction was intensified in Tamil Nadu. This led to the reduction in the number of daily Covid-19 cases and normalcy came back. The schools and colleges began physical classes for the students. Night curfew was also cancelled in Tamil Nadu.
The state health department has been advising the public to wear facemasks and maintain distance compulsorily inspite of the reduction in cases. After the omicron virus, the BA-2 variant has been identified in Britain. The researchers belonging to Britain have warned that this latest variant would be dangerous and it would affect many persons and cause deaths.
Information gathered is that if the BA-2 variant also spreads fast like the Omicron variant then there would be intensification of the restrictions in Tamil Nadu. It is brought out that there might be night curfew, restrictions in the public places plus time restrictions in the functioning of the shops etc. In the public places, permission might be given only for vaccination. It is now revealed that based on the intensity of the latest BA-2 variant only any decision of total lockdown in the state of Tamil Nadu would be taken.
