Breaking News: Prices of essential medicines to be up from 1st April!

The shocking news is learnt that the prices of essential medicines including paracetamol are going to be increased!
In recent times, there has been a phenomenal increase in the sales of paracetamol tablets! The main reason is that most citizens took paracetamol tablets as a preventive measure against coronavirus during the 3rd wave of the coronavirus pandemic!
As such, sales of paracetamol tables have increased considerably in recent times!
Another important reason is that it is also given in the government guidelines against the coronavirus spread that paracetamol tablets can be taken for coronavirus!
In this scenario, A RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT RELEASED BY THE National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority mentions that the prices of some 800 essential medicines including paracetamol are being revised upwards by up to 10.7%!
As such, the prices of 800 medicines on the national list (used for treatment for common complaints) will be up by 10.7% from 1st April!
It has been further explained that this price revision is as per the data gave by the Ministry of Commerce, Trading, and Industry and that a price increase of 10.7% has been announced this year (2022) as was done in the year 2020.
As per this announcement, the prices of medicines used for infection, fever, heart-related complaints, blood pressure, skin complaints and anaemic complaints will all go up! This includes paracetamol, Phenobarbitone, Phenytoin Sodium, Acythromycin, Cybroflaxine hydrochloride, and Metrnitasol.
The Pharmaceutical Pricing authority has released this announcement as per Medicine Prices Regulation Act 2013!
