The great news is that the most number of passengers have travelled in the month of the recently concluded April in the Chennai Metro Rail.
As the reports released by the Chennai Metro Rail Administration, it is mentioned:
“Chennai Metro Rail has been providing the Chennai and outstation citizens with the facility of safe transport for the passengers! Due to this there were 2519262 passengers in January, 3186653 passengers in February, 4467756 passengers in March, and 4446330 in April. A maximum number of passengers of 174475 passengers travelled in Chennai Metro Rail on 25th April!
Especially in April, a maximum of 907497 passengers used the QR code ticket system and 2717936 passengers were using the usual travel ticket.
Chennai Metro Rail had introduced the use of QR Code-based tickets offering a discount of 20% on the fare from 11th September 2020. For the passengers using the normal ticket service also, 20% discount has been offered”
