An information security workshop named E-Hack will be held at SRM University this weekend. The event aims at educating people about topics related to cyber attacks.
‘The difficulty level is between beginners to intermediate. Main aim is to spread awareness. We are hoping that around 65% of our attendees would be students from colleges who are interested in information security… The event will have talks, training sessions and capture the flag contests… So far (we have) received more than 13,000 registrations out of which 4,000 are from outside India. People from countries like US, UK, Pakistan, Thailand, Romania, Congo and Peru have applied to attend the event. Previously (we) had organised events which attracted more than 1,000 participants but it is the first time they are attempting an event of this scale where they expect 3,000-3,500 participants’, said Vinod Senthil, Director of InfySEC, organizers of the event.
