The AMMA (Assured Maximum Service to Marginal People in All Villages) Thittam has proved to be successful. Out of the 22.58 lakh petitions received, 13.84 lakhs have been addressed and disposed of. That is a whopping 61 per cent, a huge improvement since before the scheme was launched.

Rs. 340.82 crore had been spent on 10.18 lakh beneficiaries under social security schemes’, say officials.
