Tamil Nadu ranks 1st in number of volunteers for blood donation

Here is an honor for Tamil Nadu – the state ranks No.1 in the total count of voluntary blood donors. About 7.15 lakh blood units were collected in the past year alone. Out of this, 95% are from the volunteers.
During the global framework of action, WHO stated that each and every country should achieve the target of 100% voluntary blood donors. As a statement of pride, the health minister – K.C.Veeramani stated that this target will be achieved very early during the year 2017 by the state of Tamil Nadu.
