The announcement released by the Central Groundwater Board will not apply to Tamil Nadu!

In a notification released by the Statistical Centre for the State Water Resources Centre, it is mentioned:
“The recent announcement released by the Central Groundwater Board, functioning under the central Ministry of Jal Shakthi, The Public Announcement No. 3/2022 dated 10th April 2022, will NOT BE APPLICABLE to the State of Tamil Nadu!
The Existing Rules and Regulations regarding Safety of Groundwater and drawing water will continue to be applied!”
