The Chennai Regional Meteorological Department has informed that there prospects for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu for 3 days until 20th July!
In a notification released in this regard by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Department, it is mentioned:
"Because of the development of a cyclonic format in the upper layers of the atmosphere over Tamil Nadu, there are prospects for heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for the next 3 days until 20th July!
There are prospects for heavy rain in 9 districts in Tamil Nadu today (Monday, 18th July). The districts are Nilgiri, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, and Tirupur.
As regards tomorrow (Tuesday, 19th July), there are prospects for heavy rain in 12 districts.
As regards 21st & 22nd July, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in Tamil Nadu, Pudhuchery, and Karaikkal.
Chennai Metro City will remain partly cloudy in the next 24 hours! There prospects for medium rain in a few places in the city.
High-speed winds at 40 to 50 kmph may blow across the Kanyakumar Ocean part adjacent to the Sri Lanka Coast. As such, the fishermen in these areas are advised NOT to venture into the sea!"
