Commuters important demand at Tambaram railway station!!

Now, long distance travellers as well as the suburban commuters are having a lot of expectations about the Tambaram railway station. The reason for huge expectations was because of the fact that the Tambaram railway station is converted into a third rail terminal.
More commuters would be using the Tambaram station for various business purposes as the third line has been commissioned between Tambaram and Chengalpet. The railway station would have escalators and paved pathways etc that are being developed by the authorities. Truth is that the commuters desire easy accessibility to lifts and escalators etc. It must be noted that the escalators are switched off or do not function in the east side when passengers get into late night express trains and other suburban trains etc. This was as per a social activist. He later mentioned that train arrival and coach position display boards are not available at the station.
Tambaram railway station was going through a massive upgrade and this was pointed out by a senior officer belonging to Chennai division of southern railways. He added that additional platforms are being provided plus a FOB across the railway station. He concluded that the work would be completed in about a year.
