The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for very heavy rain in 8 districts of Tamil Nadu State!
In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard, it is mentioned:
"Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the lower layers of the atmosphere over Tamil Nadu, there are prospects for mild to medium wide-spread rain with lightning and thunder in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikkal.
There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rains in a few places in the 8 districts of Kanyakumari, Thirunelveli, Thenkasi, Theni, Nilgiri, Erode, Salem, and Dharmapuri.
There are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Karur, Namakkal, Trichy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Thanjavur, Pudhukkottai, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore, Kallkkurichi, Krishnagiri, Tirupathur, Vellore, and Ranippettai.
As regards the Chennai Metro City, the sky will be somewhat cloudy. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few parts of the city!
The maximum temperature will be 35 Degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 26-27 Degree Celsius.
A rainfall of 10 cm has been recorded in Thirubuavanam, Sivagangai district."
