Linking Aadhar card with Voters card - Chennai Corporation to try this new plan!!

Various officers belonging to several departments would soon be involved in the process of linking Aadhar card with the voter`s card. This was according to Chennai Corporations new plan.
The process of linking Aadhaar number with the voter ID card has been going on across many states in India since 1st of August 2022. The main aim behind this was to confirm the details in the voters list. The instruction regarding linking Aadhaar number with voter ID was as per the instructions from the Election Commission of India.
In Chennai, Yesterday, 25th August, a meeting was held and consultation was carried out with the officers of other departments like college principals, Integrated Child Development Programme, Women Development Agency, National Urban Livelihood Movement etc about linking Aadhaar with voter ID.
The eligible voters must voluntarily come forward and link Aadhaar card with Voter card. This was according to the GCC Commissioner Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi. For this linking purpose, Form 6B has been introduced and the voters could fill up this form and give their Aadhaar number to the polling booth level officers.
