The Department of Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that Tamil will be a mandatory subject in the second semester of all graduate Arts Courses!

As such, the students who were learning Urdu or French, need to learn Tamil as mandatory in their 2nd semester!

The state government of Tamil Nadu has been emphasizing that all students MUST learn their mother tongue Tamil and the trend of learning courses through their mother tongue MUST be encouraged!

Complaints: However, complaints were being received that some of the universities and colleges do not conduct Tamil Language Classes. Subsequently, the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Karthikeyan, has released an order that all the universities and colleges MUST have Tamil as one of the subjects in all graduate Arts courses,

In the order released by the Department of Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, it is mentioned that Tamil will be a MANDATORY SUBJECT IN THE 2ND SEMESTER OF ALL ARTS GRADUATE COURSES!

Examination on Tamil will be conducted at the end of the 2nd semester in all universities and colleges! The universities and colleges MUST stream the syllabus of Tamil and conduct the classes accordingly!

The Secretary of the Department of Higher Education of the Tamil Nadu State Government, Karthikeyan, has released this order to all universities and colleges based on the complaints that some colleges and universities DO NOT CONDUCT TAMIL LANGUAGE CLASSES!
