A technical issue has affected the mobile booking of LPG cylinders in Chennai and across other parts of Tamil Nadu since Saturday onwards.

It is well known that IBM India has been managing the LPG booking and delivery system till now and for the last 2 days there has been an outage. This was according to a statement belonging to Indian Oil Corporation or IOC. Point is that the system is currently under recovery.
Since Saturday, the LPG gas cylinders could not be booked through calls or through Whatsapp and this was pointed out by an employee of Vatsala LPG agency belonging to Chennai. This gas agency has been taking down the requests manually. In Coimbatore, there has been no issue in the booking of LPG gas cylinders as of now and this was as per some distributors there.
LPG gas deliveries without invoice:
It is learnt that the technical glitch or issue has affected the gas deliveries now and the deliveries have been taking place without an invoice. It was later highlighted by a delivery person in Chennai that invoice or any data regarding the LPG cylinders could not be accessed. He then mentioned that the cylinders are being provided to just known customers only.
Indane has issued a statement that the customers could continue booking LPG gas cylinders either through SMS or through IVRS number 77189 55555.
It is now brought to light by some LPG gas dealers that this issue would be resolved in another couple of days. Truth is that many customers did not know the exact reason why this has been happening.
