Due to the low-pressure cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Andhra coastal area, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places from today (Monday, 3rd October) for 4 days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in the city. The maximum temperature will be 33 Degrees and the minimum temperature will be 27 Degrees Celsius.

For fishermen:
Cyclonic winds at high-speed may blow across at 45-55 kmph for the next 4 days in the Andhra coastal areas, the adjacent central Bay of Bengal, and the adjacent southeast Bay of Bengal, Mannar Bay, and the adjacent South Tamil Nadu coastal areas. As such, the fishermen are warned NOT to venture into the sea for 4 days in these areas!
