Strict warning issued to the drivers and conductors of buses in Tamil Nadu!!

In the past, some drivers and conductors got drunk while on their duty and this has created issues for the passengers. This issue won`t be there in the future.
The news is that SETC or State Express Transport Corporation that has been running long distance buses in TN has given strict warning to the drivers and conductors if they are found to be drunk while on the duty. Mr. K Elangovan, MD of Transport Corporations, has sent an important circular to all the bus depots.
As per the circular, the drunk drivers and conductors would be subjected to severe disciplinary action like termination and salary cuts etc. It must not be forgotten that recently a video became viral and the video showed the bus staff in drunk condition. It must be noted that the bus passengers stopped a TNSTC bus at Vandavasi in the district of Thiruvannamalai as they found the bus driver drunk and the conductor was operating the bus on his behalf.
The MD of Transport Corporations spoke about how coming to the work after drinking alcohol was punishable and it would tarnish the image of SETC. In addition, the public would lose their confidence to travel in the government buses.
