The TTDC rolled out its coach for the Thirupathi tour about an hour earlier than the scheduled 5 am on Tuesday in spite of the continued protests by the supporters of united Andhra Pradesh over separate statehood for Telangana.
The daily service was resumed after six days amidst trepidation of hostile reception in neighboring Andhra Pradesh where protests erupted a week ago following the Centre`s decision to carve out Telangana.
Depending upon Tuesday’s response to the one-day trip, the corporation would continue to maintain the service from Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) too resumed its daily service on Tuesday night from Koyambedu terminus.
