National Medical Council has announced that the first-year classes for the graduate medical Couse of MBBS will commence on 15th November!
As such, it has emphasized that the activities of admission to graduate medical courses MUST be completed!
Over 9 lakhs candidates passed the NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) conducted this year. 67000 candidates passed NEET in the State of Tamil Nadu alone!
Subsequently, counselling/ admission activities are in progress for the All India Quota and the State-level quota.
Admissions through the college administration quota and the government quotes in private colleges are conducted by the Directorate for Medical Education. National Medical Council has announced that the classes for the first year of the MBBS course MUST commence on 15th November! It has also released the timetables and the syllabus.
The Director of Tamil Nadu Medical Education, Dr Narayanababu shared in this regard:
"Once the admissions for All India Quota are completed, counselling will commence in Tamil Nadu. As there is a month available before the commencement of first-year classes, the seats/admissions for the State Quota will also be entirely completed. As such, there would be no issues in commencing the first year classes as announced by the National Medical Council!"
