Southern Railways Announcement: can get the train ticket using the QR Code!

It has been announced on behalf of the Southern Railway that passengers can get train tickets using the QR while being at the Railway Station in Chennai Metro City!
The public can get tickets (unreserved) through App for travel in suburban trains, season tickets, Mail, Fast, and Superfast Express Trains. Earlier, as this App has got Geo Fencing permission, one cannot get tickets while standing near the railway track or the station. Tickets can be obtained only while standing at a distance from the track!
As per the recent announcement from the Southern Railway, now, this app has been changed! As such, the public can get tickets at all railway stations under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Railway Division. While standing inside the station!
How to procure the ticket?
- Download the UTS App on your cell phone.
- Scan the QR at the Railway Station.
- Type the station of destination.
- Book the ticket!
