A Milestone in the growth of Tamil Nadu - Parandur Airport near Chennai - Trillion dollar economy !!

The people belonging to Parandur near Chennai would be given confidence by the government before implementing the second airport at Parandur. This was mentioned by Mr. Thangam Thenarasu, minister for industries. He spoke about how the second airport at Parandur would be a milestone in the growth & development of the state of Tamil Nadu. He explained that the Parandur airport would play a huge role in the TN government`s aim of achieving a trillion dollar economy.
Terming it as the need of the hour, the second airport at Parandur would push Chennai and TN into the next level of growth. Both industries as well the public in that region would benefit with the upcoming second airport.
Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with TIDCO have organised Greenfield Airport: Timely Initiative of Fast Track TN Growth and the industries minister made his presence felt here.
It is known that the AAI or Airport Authority of India has identified 4 sites namely Parandur, Pannur, Thiruporur and Padalam for the second airport project. Parandur was the obvious choice for the construction of a second airport near Chennai after taking into account the critical establishments around Chennai at Tambaram and Kalpakkam etc and ecologically sensitive places like Pulicat etc.
