Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed us that a new low-pressure zone is to be formed today (Wednesday, 16th November).
The earlier strong depression zone which formed on 9th November weakened gradually in 2 days. Due to this, there were heavy widespread rains in Chennai Metro City and its suburbs. There was heavy rain in some parts of the city as well!
In this situation, it has been informed that a new low-pressure zone is likely to be formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the southeast Ba7y of Bengal. Due to this, the third round of rains after the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season will occur in Tamil Nadu after 20th November.
The low-pressure zone developing over the southwest Bay of Bengal will intensify into a depression zone. Indian Meteorological Department has informed us that this low-pressure zone is being continuously monitored whether it will transform into a cyclonic format!
