The sensational information is that soon people would be able to travel in these 3 modes of transport in Chennai with just a single ticket. For this an app would be introduced soon by the TN government. With just one ticket, the people would be able to travel easily in MTC buses, metro trains and in the suburban trains to reach their destinations.
On Thursday, 17th November a meeting of the Integrated Metropolitan Transport Committee took place at Nadanam in Chennai. It was headed by the chief minister of TN, Mr. MK. Stalin. Though this committee was established in 2010 itself the first meeting took place on Thursday only. The meeting saw the presence of officials belonging to MTC, CMRL, Railways, Highways dept and GCC etc. There were discussions about a variety of aspects like traffic congestion etc at the meeting.
Approval for single ticket scheme:
There were discussions in the meeting about the possibilities and facilities etc using a single ticket to travel in the public modes of transport like MTC buses, metro trains and suburban trains etc. Information gathered is that approval has been issued by the Integrated Chennai Metropolitan Transport Committee for a single ticket to travel in these 3 modes of transport in Chennai .
This new and sensational project would come into effect soon in Chennai for the sake of the residents. In this aspect, a new application or app would be launched to get the travel ticket from Integrated Chennai Metropolitan Transport. By using this app, the residents of Chennai could travel in all the 3 modes of transport easily.
