Regarding the special program in which 200 devotees are to be taken on a pilgrimage from Rameswaram to Kasi (Varanasi or Banaras) organized by the Hindu Religious Endowment Board, a notification has been released:
"Applications are invited from interested citizens to participate in the pilgrimage from Rameswaram to Kasi organized by the Hindu Religious Endowment Board for which 10 citizens each will be selected from the 20 Joint Commissioner Zones!
The fare expenses will be taken care of by the State Government of Tamil Nadu!
NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT MUST BE A HINDU AND A THEIST (HAVING BELIEF IN GOD) AND BE IN THE AGE GROUP 60-70!
The application forms for this can be obtained from the Office of the Joint Commissioner. These application forms are to be filled and submitted to the same office BEFORE 15TH DECEMBER!
The applicants recommended by the Zonal Joint Commissioner WILL BE SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SPECIAL RAMESWARAM-KASI PILGRIMAGE!
