No disruption in the Arasu cable TV service!!
The news that has come out now is that the High Court has ordered the private software companies to provide Arasu cable TV service of the TN government for the public without any disruption.
It must be recalled that in 2017 Arasu Cable TV Company has signed an agreement with the Tuticorin based Mr. V.S. Rajan Mumbai headquartered Mantra Industries and Chennai Arumbakkam based Balaji Machine Works to provide set top boxes of high quality to the public. It must be noted that these companies distributed as many as 3740000 set top boxes of Rs 614 cr worth to the public. These companies have been providing annual maintenance services also.
It is worthy to note that the TN government withheld Rs 52 crores and just paid the remaining amount as these companies did not complete the work within the stipulated time. The companies have sent a written letter to the TN government regarding the amount and the amount was not provided. In this situation, the softwares of the set top boxes of Arasu cable TV have been technically disabled by these companies. On the basis of the complaint filed, Mr. V.S. Rajan was arrested by the Chennai crime branch police.
