In the 3 districts belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu, holiday has been declared for the schools because of heavy rains. In the Virudhunagar district, holidays have been announced for both schools and colleges whereas in the districts of Theni & Tuticorin holidays have been announced for just schools only. The respective district collectors have declared a rainy holiday due to the heavy rains.
There is a low atmospheric circulation prevailing over the coastal areas of Kerala and due to this widespread rains occurred in TN yesterday. Rains made their presence felt in south districts of Madurai, Theni, Thoothukudi, Nellai and Tenkasi etc. There were rains in some western districts like Nilgris and Coimbatore etc.
Possibilities of rains in 9 districts in TN:
There might be light to moderate rains in one or two places belonging to TN, Puducherry, Karaikal etc from today 29th Nov till 1st of December 2022. This was as per the Chennai meteorological dept.
It has predicted that light to moderate rains would occur in one or two places belonging to TN, Puducherry and Karaikal etc on 2nd of December. For the next 48 hours, the sky would be partly cloudy in the next 48 hours. At a few places, light to moderate rains might occur. Maximum temp would be 30 to 31 degrees celsius and the minimum temperature would be around 24 degrees Celsius.
It has been mentioned that today till 10am in the morning there would be moderate rains in the districts like Coimbatore, Nilgris, Erode, Theni, Virudhunagar, Nellai, Tenkasi, Tuticorin and Ramanathapuram etc.
