Not being able to travel in the reserved coaches in the express trains after taking tickets to travel in ordinary coaches in the trains would soon become a thing of the past!!
The sensational piece of news is that SR or Southern Railways have announced that it has implemented the facility for the short distance travellers to travel in a few reserved coaches of the express trains even if they have only ordinary tickets. The railways have been implementing new plans for the sake of the needs of the passengers is well known.
Arrangements are being made by the railways department so that more passengers would be able to travel in the trains. Information collected is that the railways have been implementing a new facility termed ``dereserved`` where the passengers with ordinary tickets would be able to travel in the reserved coaches for a short distance travel in the daytime. Now, SR has kept 1 or 2 dereserved coaches in the 24 express trains that would travel from TN to Kerala.
It was later mentioned by some officers from the SR that in the last few months dereserved coaches have been present for the sake of passengers. Those who travel by trains daily could utilise this dereserved facility.
The passengers using dereserved facility would be able to travel a maximum distance of 100km. Point is that this dereserved facility would be extended in other trains also. The passengers would be fined if they travel without a ticket in the regular reservation compartments other than the dereserved ones.
