Fountains with LED lightings etc plus many more facilities to come up at Marina Beach!!

Don`t be surprised in the future if you see eateries, children`s play areas and fountains with LED lighting etc at the highly famous Marina Beach in Chennai!!
The GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation has got plans to set up these above mentioned facilities at this beach. It is now revealed that the GCC has been waiting for the cases over the smart carts to be decided. In addition to these above said, benches would also be set up at this favourite relaxation spot in Chennai. Soon a design consultant would be roped in by the GCC. This was mentioned by Mr. Mahesh kumar, deputy Mayor of Chennai.
Point is that currently more than 2000 vendors are occupying the space in this beach and once they are removed, GCC would be setting up fountains with LED lights, kids play area and food court etc.
The deputy Mayor revealed that the food court would be T shaped and it would have restaurants, coffee shops and cake stalls etc. By this, the GCC would be getting the rent amount and it would also attract more visitors to the beach. It is true that GCC has been facing stiff resistance from the vendors at the Marina Beach.
