Southern Railway to operate special trains on Christmas

In preparation for the Christmas holidays, Southern Railway has planned special trains between Chennai and southern Tamil Nadu.
According to a press release from southern railways, No 06021 Tambaram – Tirunelveli special fare train will leave Tambaram at 9pm on December 22 and reach Tirunelveli at 9am the next day. No 06022 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore special fare train will leave Tirunelveli at 1pm on Dec 23 and reach Chennai Egmore at 3.20am the next day.
These trains will stop at Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Aruppukottai, Manamadurai, Sivaganga, Karaikudi, Pudukottai, Trichy, Virudhachalam, Viluppuram, Chengalpet and Tambaram.
A superfast special fare train will be operated from Tambaram to Nagercoil. No 06041 Tambaram – Nagercoil superfast special fare train will start from Tambaram at 7.30pm on Dec 23 and reach Nagercoil at 7.10am the next day. This train will stop at Chengalpet, Villupuram, Virudhachalam, Trichy,
Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli and Valliyoor stations.
