How and where to get free tickets for senior citizens travelling government buses in Chennai Metro City?!

The great news is that the issue of free tokens for senior citizens to travel in the government buses has commenced today (Wednesday, 21st December)!
To facilitate the senior citizens above 60 years of age to travel in the State Government Transport Corporation city buses, free tokens are issued once in 6 months!
Presently, for usage from January to June 2023, at 10 tokens per month, Bus travel tokens are issued free for 6 months. Also, Identity Cards can be renewed and the issue of tokens for new passengers is also done from today (Wednesday, 21st December).
Where?
The above tokens for free travel in Transport Corporation buses will be issued at the Chennai Metro City Bus Workshops nearest to the concerned Senior Citizen`s residence!
Documents required
Those coming for getting tokens for the first time, and those who come for renewal, have to bring their previous ID card and a passport-size photograph.
Documents required for the senior citizen coming for the first time
The senior citizens who are to get the above tokens for free travel in city transport corporations for the first-ever time to have to bring their address proof, and for age proof, Aadhar, Driving License, Education Certificate, or a copy of the Voter ID 2 passport-size photos and submit the same! Along with the copies of the documents mentioned, the senior citizen must bring the original documents just for verification!
