In a notification released by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre P. Senthamaraikkannan regarding weather, it is mentioned:
“There is a change in the speed of the easterly winds blowing towards Tamil Nadu State! Due to this, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in the coastal Tamil Nadu districts and their adjacent districts, Puducherry, and Karaikkal today (Monday, 23rd January)
There are prospects for conditions of frost the night in 1 or 2 places in the mountainous areas of Nilgiri District.
As for tomorrow (Tuesday, 24th January), there are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in the southern Tamil Nadu Districts, the Delta Districts and their adjacent Districts and Karaikkal.
As regards the 25th & 26th of January (Wednesday & Thursday), there are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in the Coastal Districts of Tamil Nadu, their adjacent districts and Pudhuchery and Karaikkal.
As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild rain in 1 or 2 places!
