It has been announced that there are prospects for medium rain in the coastal areas for 4 days up to 27th January!
In a notification released in this regard by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
“As of yesterday (Monday, 23rd January) morning, the morning temperature was higher by 2 Degrees Celsius as compared to the normal in the districts of Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Thirupathur, Nagappattinam, Trichy, Thiruvallur, Ramanathapuram, Vellore, and Karaikkal.
Due to the change in the speed of the Easterly winds blowing towards the Tamil Nadu State, there are prospects for medium rain in the southern districts and the Delta districts of Tamil Nadu State.
As regards the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and their adjacent districts, there are prospects for medium rain from tomorrow (Wednesday, 25th January) until 26th January.
As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 30 Degrees Celsius.
High-speed cyclonic winds at 55 kmph are likely to blow across the South Andaman Sea and the adjacent Southeast Bay of Bengal, FISHERMEN ARE WARNED NOT TO VENTURE INTO THE SEA FOR FISHING!
