Breaking the doors and stealing things has now become out of fashion for the criminals!!
Cyber crimes have been taking place these days with more regularity than compared to the past. This has become a cause for concern for many now. According to the DGP of TN Mr. C. Sylendra Babu confirmed that there is now more need for computer science engineers and these engineers would be able to prevent cyber crimes.
The famous Ethiraj College in Chennai was buzzing with activities on Tuesday 7th February 2023. Here, a national seminar on the prevention of cyber crimes took place. In this seminar, the DGP of TN highlighted that the cyber crimes have increased now in India. He added that there are not enough computer science engineers available now to prevent such crimes from taking place.
In the past, the criminals broke open the door and stole precious things from the house but now through mobile phones intelligent criminals steal. The computer science engineering subject must be given importance and many students must join the course so that cyber crimes could be avoided in the future. This was according to the DGP.
Public must keep in mind that if some unknown person sends a link and asks to click it then it is highly risky. The public must never give their important bank details to strangers at any cost.
The DGP concluded that the Police Assistance app is being implemented by the police dept across TN and it has got 66 facilities in it for emergency usage.
