Surprising extension news regarding the upcoming Greenfield airport at Parandur near Chennai!!

It is known that the people belonging to Parandur and its neighbouring villages are against the upcoming Greenfield airport at Parandur near Chennai. In this situation, the government of Tamil Nadu has extended the deadline for tender to get more contractors.
It must be recalled that previously 6th of February 2023 was the last date for tender for finalising a consultant for preparing a detailed technical and economic report for the airport. Now, TIDCO has extended the deadline for the tender to 27th of February 2023. It is noteworthy that in addition a notification called for tender to study air traffic at Parandur and evaluation of the project for construction. To study and report on airport development plus environmental impact, social impact etc, tender notice was issued.
Parandur near Chennai was finalised by the Union govt as the site for the construction of Chennai`s second airport. The villagers from Parandur, Eknapuram and Nelvoy etc have been objecting and they want the govt to change the location.
