Pedestrian Skywalk on Poonamallee high road awaiting heritage committee clearance

Pedestrian Skywalk which is 1.6km long planned on the Poonamallee high road will be connecting different areas that include Moore market, Madras Medical college, Chennai Central, Government general hospital and Southern Railway headquarters. This Skywalk will be looked over by the Heritage Conservation committee on coming Tuesday before giving a clearance.
This proposal has already been accepted by the Southern railway, further according to the sources this project is believed to help people to move around easily and would minimize the crowd.
