Never happened before!! - A New High in the Solar Power Generation in TN!!

Amid the increase in the demand for power because of the rise in the temperature, the solar power generation in TN touched an all time high of 4829 MW just a couple of days back on Saturday. This is making sensational news now.
On 25th February noon, the solar power generation touched 4829 MW and this was brought to light by data from SLDC or State Load Despatch Centre. It must be remembered that on 13th of February ten previous highest was reached regarding the solar power generation in Tn and that was 4783 MW.
On 25th of february 2023, the solar power energy consumption reached a new peak of 36 million units and on 13th of February the previous maximum solar energy consumption was reached and that was 35.4 million units. The summer season will be starting soon and the temp has been rising steadily resulting in more energy consumption.
According to an officer from Tangedco it was clear that the peak power demand in TN touched 16700 MW. He spoke about how on an average in the mornings and in the evenings the peak power demands stand at 16300 MW. In March, the power demand would increase by more than 17000 MW and in April it would touch 18500 MW also.
On 25th of February in 2022, the TN state power demand stood at 15443 MW but now on the same day in 2023 it was at 16202 MW. Not many would know that on 29th of April in 2022, an all time power demand of 17563 MW was reached in TN.. With the solar installed capacity of 6240MW including the rooftop, in the coming days, the solar power generation would increase in TN. This was also mentioned by the official. It is now said that there would be a steady increase in the installed capacity also.
