In a recent development, customers who purchase milk from Aavin through monthly payment cards will now be required to link their Aadhaar numbers. The Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers` Federation Limited (Aavin) has issued a circular to all district officers, stating that Aadhaar numbers will be used solely for identification purposes.
This move is aimed at streamlining the purchasing process and ensuring that customers receive their entitlements without any hassles. Aavin has clarified that the Aadhaar number will not be used for any other purpose other than customer identification.
Customers who have not yet linked their Aadhaar numbers to their Aavin accounts are advised to do so at the earliest. Failure to comply with the new mandate may result in the suspension of the customer`s monthly milk purchase card.
