The need for heart disease-related tests is increasing day by day. Aditya Rotary Club and Sri Ramachandra Higher Education Research Institute have provided a mobile heart examination center bus with air conditioning to Metropolitan Chennai Corporation at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore to carry out tests related to heart diseases. The bus is equipped with two fully air-conditioned digital ECGs, two echo machines, and automatic blood sampling equipment.
Starting this month, the bus will conduct heart disease-related tests for pregnant mothers and the general public through camps in certain urban health centers under the Metropolitan Chennai Corporation every Tuesday and Thursday. The camps will be conducted by professional cardiologists and laboratory technicians from Sri Ramachandra Hospital.
If individuals require further treatment or surgery during the examination, they will be referred to the nearest government hospital or Sri Ramachandra Hospital for treatment under the government insurance scheme.
The mobile cardiac screening center bus is part of Chennai Municipal Corporation`s efforts to promote heart health and make heart disease-related tests accessible to the public. The Corporation encourages all residents to take advantage of this service and prioritize their heart health.
