The Thirumalai Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD) has announced a two-day break for the VIP Darshan facility at the Tirupati Temple on the 21st and 22nd of March due to the celebrations of the Telugu New Year, known as `Yugadhi`.

On the sacred day of Yugadhi, the temple corridors will open early in the morning for the performance of Suprapadha Seva and Thomalai Archanai. Subsequently, the main idol of Lord Venkateswara and the idol of `Senai Mudhalvbar` will be carried to the Garudazhwar Mandapam for Aasthaanam or Darbar. Special Poojas will then be performed for the two idols, and the new Panchangam (Almanac) for the Telugu New Year will be read with predictions for the year given by the Veda Pandithas.

Prasadams will be distributed to the devotees after the ceremonies. On March 21st, the entire temple premises of Lord Srinivasa will be cleaned, and Azhwar Thirumanjanam will be performed. All parts of the temple, including the Sanctum Sanctorum, will be cleansed, and vessels used for the preparation of Prasadams, Pancha Pathras, and other utensils will be washed and cleaned. The temple walls will be coated with a special concoction made from turmeric, sandal, namakkatti, and Javvadhu.

As a result of the above schedule, devotees will not be allowed to have Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara. Devotees will only be permitted to see the Lord after noon. Paid events such as Kalyana Utsavam, Oonjal Seva, and charged Brahmotsavam will not be performed on March 21st.

The Thirumalai Tirupati Devasthanam Board has announced that regular VIP DARSHAN will not be allowed on March 21st and 22nd due to the events of Azhwar Thirumanjanam and Yugadhi (Telugu New Year).
