The first charter train from Kerala will be flagged off by the IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd). The departure will take place at Trivandrum on 13th September and the train will travel through places including:
- Kottayam
- Ernakulam
- Thrissur
- Shoranur
- Erode
- Chennai
Tourists can board the train in any of the above stations. The charter train’s next segment will function between Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. As a step to help the tourists, the IRCTC has opened several avenues at the railway based tourism in order to upgrade their service.
