The public examination for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) is scheduled to commence today, Thursday, 6th April, and will conclude on 20th April (Thursday).
In Tamil Nadu, 466,765 boys and 455,960 girls will be taking this examination, making a total of 922,725 students. In addition, 7,911 boys and 7,655 girls from Puducherry will be participating, making a total of 15,566 candidates.
Apart from these candidates, 26,352 boys, 11,441 girls, and 5 transgender candidates will be participating in the SSLC examination as private candidates.
Thus, a total of 976,089 candidates will be taking the SSLC Public Examinations with enthusiasm.
In addition, 264 prisoners in jail and 13,151 differently-abled candidates will also be taking this SSLC Public Examination.
Examination halls have been set up in 12,639 schools and 4,025 examination centers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, with 46,870 officials deployed to monitor the above examination halls.
The candidates will be allowed inside the examination hall only after thorough checking. Carrying cell phones, computers, or calculators is banned.
