Traffic Diverted in Chennai for Sewerage Disposal Work in Manapakkam and Krigambakkam Areas

Chennai Sewerage Board is currently undertaking sewage disposal work on Manapakkam main road in the Manapakkam and Krigambakkam areas. The sewerage work spans a distance of approximately 285 meters from Krishna Building Junction on Manapakkam Main Road to Sai Baba Temple.

To facilitate this work, the traffic police have implemented a test diversion plan from April 20 to May 15. Vehicles traveling from Kunradthur and Mughalivakkam towards Guindy via Mount Poontamalli can take a left turn at Avadigawal Commissionerate on Mughalivakkam Main Road and reach Mount Poontamalli Road via Kumutham Main Road, Sabari Nagar, and Mughalivakkam Main Road.

Similarly, vehicles traveling from Pammal and Girgambakkam via Mount Poontamalli Road towards Guindy can take Manapakkam Main Road, turn left at Krishna Building Junction, then turn left again at Mughalivakkam Main Road towards Avadi Police Commissionerate. From there, they can turn right onto Kumutham Main Road, pass through Sabari Nagar and Mughalivakkam Main Road, and finally reach Mount Poontamalli Road.

For those traveling from Guindy via Mount Poontamalli Road towards Kunradthur, Mughalivakkam, they can turn left at Nandambakkam Bridge Junction, then turn right at Sai Baba Temple, and take a left turn at Ramapuram via Manapakkam main road. From there, they can pass through Avadi Police Commissionerate, turn left onto Mughalivakkam Main Road, then turn left again onto Kumutham Main Road, Sabari Nagar, and Mughalivakkam Main Road to reach Mount Poontamalli Road.

The traffic police have made this announcement in light of the diversion plan and request commuters to cooperate with the traffic regulations to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
