Tamil Nadu State Government Order: 5 local City Administrations to be upgraded!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered the upgrading of five local city administrations in the state. The Secretary of the Department of City Administration and Distribution of Drinking Water, Shivdas Meena, has issued the following order:
"The 2nd Grade Local City Administrations of Thiruvallur District, Thiruthani, Chengalpattu, Nandhivaram, and Guduvancherry are being upgraded to 1st Grade local City Administrations. The 1st Grade City Administrations of Thiruvallur and Poonamallee are being upgraded to Standard Local City Administrations (Municipalities).
Thiruverkadu, which is a Standard Local Administration, is being upgraded to a Special Grade Local Administration."
