The Tamil Nadu government has announced that the distribution of applications for admission to government arts and science colleges will commence on May 9th, following the release of the public examination results for 12th grade students who studied in schools under the School Education Department. The results were announced yesterday, on May 8th, a day earlier than planned to reduce pressure on students who appeared for the NEET exam.
Once the results are released on May 8th, students can upload their applications online for government arts and science colleges on May 9th. Meanwhile, the application distribution process for admission to private arts and science colleges will begin on May 1st. There are 633 self-financing private arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu, and students can download their applications online. After the public examination results are announced on May 8th, students should upload their results along with the relevant mark certificates.
It is worth noting that admission to government arts and science colleges is highly competitive, with a limited number of seats available for numerous applicants. As such, students are advised to start preparing their applications well in advance to maximize their chances of securing admission.
