Railway stations have been sorted based on the revenue earned and the number of passengers.
Apart from this, the Railway Administration has been taking initiatives to identify the railway stations with a higher number of passengers and improve these stations.
According to the merit list of the Southern Railway, the Central Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 1085 Crores in the financial year 2022-23 and secured the first place.
Egmore Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 525.96 Crores and secured the second place.
These statistics have come from the list of the top 50 Railway Stations with the maximum revenues in the financial year 2022-23. Coimbatore Railway Station secured the third place with a revenue of Rs. 283.36.
Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 205.81 Crores and secured the 4th place.
Ernakulam Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 193 Crores and secured the fifth place.
Madurai Junction earned a revenue of Rs. 190.76 and earned the 6th place. Tambaram Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 182.68 Crores, earning the 7th place.
Katpadi Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 168.39 Crores and secured the 8th place. Trichy Railway Station earned a revenue of Rs. 140.24 Crores and secured the 10th place.
