Flying to countries like Ethiopia and Kuwait etc would not be difficult hereafter as more flights would be operated to these countries from the new terminal at the Chennai airport.
It is important to note that the flights include Ethiopian Airlines ET0692/0693 to Addis Ababa Bole international airport on 4th May, Fits Air 8D00833/0834 to Bandaranaike International airport in Sri Lanka on 5th of May and Jazeera- J90427/J90428 to Kuwait International airport on 8th of May.
In a calibrated manner, all the airport`s international operations of the existing T4 and T3 are being shifted to the new airport terminal in Chennai. It must be noted that the operational trials are part of the migration process.
Yesterday, Wednesday, 3rd May, Air India operated from/to the terminal in Chennai- Singapore 9 Arrival & Departure) sector. It was brought out by a release that the trial operations went smoothly with the cooperation of all the stakeholders. For the sake of seamless functionality, passenger facilities like check in, immigration, customs, baggage handling systems etc were tested.
Point to be noted is that the trial would ensure that the terminals meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, passenger satisfaction and provide world class facilities to the passengers.
