The eagerly awaited Class 12 board results were announced on Monday, revealing Chennai`s commendable pass percentage of 94.14%. Virudhunagar district emerged triumphant, securing the top position with an outstanding pass percentage of 97.85%.
According to the data released by the State School Education Department, a total of 21,139 boys and 23,178 girls appeared for the board exams conducted between March 13 and April 3. Out of these, 19,321 boys and 22,399 girls successfully cleared the exams, resulting in a combined total of 41,720 students passing out of 44,317.
Following the familiar trend, the pass percentage for girls in Chennai surpassed that of boys. While boys achieved a respectable pass percentage of 91.40%, girls achieved an impressive 96.64% in the city.
